Documentary Example I Do Not Like - Part 3

Image
This documentary have good camera shots and good interview quality. However, I do not like how it only follows the one child’s story. There could have been a better variety of disabilities to see how they affect other families and lives.    https://youtu.be/SAzelOydDB8?si=JFj1HxHJrDeAya6C

Documentary Examples I Like - Part 3

This documentary is about a camp meant for disabled people where they can feel they fit in. I like the way this documentary interviews are of people who actually went to the camp making it accurate. Also I like the b roll that was used bc it was footage from the actual camp. I like how it shows how the camp helped them feel like they belong. https://youtu.be/OFS8SpwioZ4?si=9vOivmwJRc8_SJ2V

Documentary I Do Not Like- Part 2

In this documentary , they open with a landscape scene with an informative section. Compared to other  openings, this one does not. I do not like the way it is just a voiceover. It doesn’t show anything about disabilities and is not related to the rest of the documentary.  https://youtu.be/XWNixFvKiaU?si=qWoPd0NLBASa35KP

Documentary I Like- Part 2

This documentary shows the life of a disabled child with an intellectual disorder. I like the opening scene of this documentary because it shows what it is like to live with someone who is disabled and how it affects the family. I also like the way they show what helps her clam down in a situation of stress in this case it is headphones with music. This opening scene is a good attention grabber and had me drawn into it in the first few seconds. Even the first scene had me getting emotional about the things her family has to go through on the daily.   https://youtu.be/CFlzCPAdKC8?si=WUSq6PJsqtidgIH-

This documentary is very informal. I think it does a good job at brining awareness to the audience about being aware of people with disabilities, but it does not pull at the heart strings. I don’t like how upbeat the music is it makes it sound also circus like. In this case I do not think an audience would take this documentary seriously because of humor in it. I also do not like how some of the “interviews” are vlog style shots. It would have been better if it were an actual sit down interview.  https://youtu.be/vcIEpgwypbY?si=Vm6tbJejONi_3RZI

Documentary Examples I Like

This documentary on YouTube is about people with disabilities and how they go though their life dealing with the disability. I like the way they categorize the segments by the type of disability such as the sensory disability and physical disability. I also like the way they show the vision of the blind person by making the clip very dark and blurry. It allows the audience to see through someone else’s eyes making them emotional and thanking for what they have when others are struggling. https://youtu.be/aJssu_PAw4w?si=csRNnf7dhL5EjVTn
